Time Management – Is It Working For You?

Time Management – Is It Working For You?

My five earlier posts about Time Management;
said that the first five steps in managing time are;
  1. To be clear about your purpose and your direction in life,
  2. To know how you spend your time
  3. To include an emotional element in your time management program.
  4. To become better organized.
  5. To find out when you work best.
Now you need to make sure your new time management regime is working for you.

If it is, you should notice the following improvements
  1. Increased energy, productivity and motivation
  2. A greater sense of control
  3. You are more decisive and pro-active
  4. You no longer take work problems home
  5. You are acting more assertively - procrastination and perfectionism are becoming things of the past
  6. Your time keeping is better
Above all you are finding enough hours in the day to do the things that are important to you.

If this is not happening, then go back over the steps and tweak your approach.

Good time management doesn't mean that every minute of the day is accounted for.  But it does mean that much of your time is directed towards your goals.

You need to to go on day by day practicing and monitoring your time management skills.
