Don't worry about what other people think of you. 

They don't know what's going on in your life, just like you don't know what's going on in theirs. People are generally self-indulgent. If they're not buried into something on their phone, don't have headphones on or in, I can almost guarantee that they are worrying about themselves. 

We are selfish creatures. It's in our nature to worry about ourselves, first and foremost. Will I get to work on time? Is this outfit ok? Who knows what they are worried about?
The people you admire on a bus or wherever mess up as much as you do or have, they're just experienced enough and better at hiding the cracks. Who's to say that composed, beautiful girl that you see every day doesn't cry herself to sleep? 

A lot goes on behind closed doors that we cannot bear witness to. We all have issues both ongoing or one-offs. You cannot control how a particular issue will affect someone else. 

Only you have the power to control yourself and how you behave/act. The keys to your life are in your hand.
