Saying Goodbye - Helping Children Deal With Loss

Saying Goodbye - Helping Children Deal With Loss

We all have, or will have, to face feelings of loss or grief, And it can be hard when children are the ones that have to feel those feelings. Here the very wise Kati Lette describes how she handled the death of a family pet with her own children.

"It has been very difficult for Shay and I to watch our children go through losing our sweet dog, Malachi. He has been a part of our lives for almost 9 years and has been by our side as we have raised our children. Unfortunately, all we can do is be here for them to cry on and help them work through all the different emotions and phases of grief. Ultimately, I think they will come out of this stronger in character and hopefully will be able to help and understand others experiencing the same thing."

There are some books below that I hope will help too.
